Our staff is committed to Patient and Family Centered Care at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital. We are actively and continuously working to improve and sustain our quality indicators.
Our ICU has a low average daily census and this impacts our pressure ulcer prevalence with just one pressure ulcer on the day of our quarterly studies. This is not a reflection of our overall care of our patients. Our skin care nurse works with our on unit staff to be sure that there is a plan of care that matches our patient's needs.
We have been consistently working to improve our falls prevention program. There has been a steady and sustained reduction in falls and injuries related to falls over the past year.
